SPRING SEMESTER STUDENT PARKING PERMITS WILL BE SOLD BEGINNING DECEMBER 7, 2005 AT THE TUITION OFFICE. 

PERMITS MUST BE DISPLAYED BEGINNING JANUARY 10, 2006

VEHICLES WITHOUT A VALID PERMIT DISPLAYED THAT ARE PARKED IN STUDENT LOTS WILL BE TICKETED BEGINNING JANUARY 16, 2006. (Permits are also required for students parking in designated handicapped parking spaces).

AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE SEMESTER PERMIT would be for students to park in the daily/visitor lot at a cost of $3.00/day. Tokens for this lot/gate may be purchased at the tuition office in lots of 10 for $25.00.

In either pre-pay case, students will need to present their fee statement at the tuition office to obtain a permit or tokens. The tuition office at Saint Paul College will recognize a Metropolitan State University fee statement.

The pay box at the gate of the daily lot accepts bills or quarters; it will give change but it’ll all be in quarters! 
Additional Information Regarding Parking on Our Campus

Parking Hours: 
Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 10:00pm 
Saturday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Visitor Parking / Short Term Parking:
• Metered Visitor and Handicap Parking is located in front of the main building. These metered spaces are for short-term visitors and handicapped visitor parking only. (Limit 2 hours)
• Additional long term Handicap parking is available in the lot west of the College (Lot B).
• Additional long term Visitor Parking is available in the SHORT-TERM/DAILY LOT.
• Parking meters are monitored and enforced from 7:00am - 10:00pm, Monday through Friday, and 7:00am - 3:00pm on Saturdays.
• METERED PARKING IS NOT FOR STUDENT, FACULTY OR STAFF USE - for any reason.
• Permits are required for students and/or employees parking in designated handicapped parking spaces.

RED & GREEN LOTS / Parking Lots B, C, D:
• The Red & Green Lots are for students with Red and Green Permits ONLY.

PURPLE LOT / Faculty & Staff Lot E:
• The Purple Lot is for Faculty and Staff with Purple Permits ONLY.
• Overflow parking to Lots "C", "D".

SERVICE & COLLEGE VEHICLE Lot:
• Service Lot is designated for Services Vehicle parking only. All vehicles in this areas must be marked (Company Name and Working at the College) or they will be ticketed.

Reserved motorcycle parking:
• Located at the east end of Red Lot along the guard rail.

NO PARKING ZONES:
• Any space marked 24 Hour without a proper sticker.
• Any handicapped space without a legally displayed sticker or license plate.
• Fire lanes. To include leaving room for a minimum of two vehicles to pass at the end of each row.
• Front of any garage doors.
• Any Right of Way areas. This includes the area north of the Truck and Fabrication Shops to allow for oversized vehicle maneuvering.
• Any areas not paved or designated for parking. This includes sidewalks, curbs, and lawns.

If You Receive a Citation for a Parking Violation 
Payment is to be directed to the Tuition Office and requires a copy of the citation. Payment is due fifteen (15) business days from the date the citation was issued. Checks are to be made payable to Saint Paul College. If the citation is not paid within fifteen (15) business days, a $25.00 late fee will be added to the fine. You may appeal your citation within fifteen (15) business days from the date the citation was issued. Appeal forms are available at the INFORMATON DESK. The form must be filled out completely to be considered. If you fail to pay your parking citation(s), the fine(s) will be place on your student record and you will be unable to get a copy of your transcript until the fine is paid. The debt will be submitted to Minnesota Collection Enterprise for collection.

It is mandatory that all motor vehicles parked on Saint Paul College campus have a registered parking permit. Registration is considered complete when the permit is properly affixed to the vehicle being registered. A vehicle registration from the State of Minn. will be obtained on vehicles not registered, that are ticketed and the fine is not paid. A $5.00 service charge will be added to the ticket.
